BRIEF ON FISH FOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (FIDEP)
The Fish for Development Project (FIDEP) is a 40-month local economic development aimed at promoting local sustainable economic growth and development through fish farming in the Adentan Municipality. The Project hopes to achieve this by promoting urban fish farming as a means of livelihood within the municipality, creating jobs for women, persons with disabilities (PWDs) and youth along the fish value chain and preserving and protecting water bodies within the municipality.
The Project is being implemented in the Adentan Municipality by the Adentan Municipal Assembly, the Centre for Local Governance Advocacy (CLGA) and the Local Governance Network (LoGNet) in partnership with local and national stakeholders.
The European Union is providing 70% of the total cost of the Project with the implementing partners providing the remaining 30%

LAUNCH OF FISH FOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (FIDEP) IN ADENTAN
The Adentan Municipal Assembly, together with its implementing partners; Centre for Local Governance Advocacy and the Local Governance Network on Thursday, 24th April, 2019 officially launched the European Union Fish for Development Project (FIDEP).
The 40-month local economic development initiative is aimed at promoting sustainable economic growth and development through fish farming within the Adentan Municipality. It is expected to promote urban fish farming as a means of livelihood within the municipality, create jobs for women, youth and persons with disability (PWD) along the fish value chain and preserve and protect water bodies within the municipality.
The project is funded by the European Union with counterpart funding from the implementing partners.
